OUR PRIDE 2026 Shorts Fest is a global LGBTQIA+ film and media festival celebrating powerful short-form storytelling rooted in human rights, identity, resilience, and cultural memory.
In November 2026, the festival brings together filmmakers, journalists, artists, advocates, and emerging creators from across the world for a hybrid celebration of film, community, and social impact.
Presented in partnership with CineLot and Rainbow Advocacy Foundation, OUR PRIDE 2026 creates an international platform for stories that inspire connection, visibility, healing, and collective action across generations and borders.

🌐 FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
OUR PRIDE 2026 is designed as a hybrid festival experience combining virtual screenings, cultural gatherings, conversations, and digital programming.
Selected works may be presented through:
• Live screenings and special events in Palm Springs
• Online festival programming and global streaming access
• Community partner showcases and educational presentations
• Social media and digital discovery campaigns
Filmmakers will:
• Present their work to an international audience
• Be featured alongside diverse LGBTQIA+ voices and creators
• Participate in a growing cultural and human-rights platform
• Benefit from ongoing visibility and audience engagement opportunities
Selected films may continue to be featured as part of an extended digital showcase following the festival.

Rules & Terms
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Films must be 1–45 minutes in length
• English or English subtitles required
• All rights, including music and archival materials, must be fully cleared
• Multiple submissions are welcome
Each entry must include:
• Contact information (name, address, email, phone)
• Short synopsis (50 words maximum)
• Director biography (50 words maximum)
• Date of completion
• Exact runtime
🎞 FORMAT
• Provide a secure online screener (Vimeo, YouTube, or similar platform)
• No physical media accepted
👥 YOUTH SUBMISSIONS
Filmmakers age 18 and under are encouraged to submit with the support of a parent, guardian, teacher, or mentor.
⚖️ LEGAL
Submissions must not:
• Infringe upon copyright, trademark, music, or other intellectual property rights
• Violate privacy, publicity, or consent requirements
• Contain unlawful or defamatory material
Entrants must be prepared to provide proof of all necessary rights and permissions upon request.
📸 MATERIALS
Selected filmmakers may be asked to provide:
• High-resolution still images (JPEG or TIFF, 300 DPI preferred)
• Director headshot
• Press kit, credits, and additional promotional materials (optional)
By submitting, filmmakers grant OUR PRIDE 2026 a non-exclusive license to use excerpts of up to two minutes of the submitted work solely for festival promotion, marketing, and educational purposes.

🌟 ARCHIVAL OPPORTUNITY
Selected entries may be considered for inclusion in the Outfest UCLA Legacy Project, one of the world’s most significant archives dedicated to preserving LGBTQIA+ moving-image history.
